Paintings 2025

My practice is grounded in intuition rather than preconception. I begin without a plan, following impulses to choose a color, make a mark, or form a shape, allowing the work to unfold without an anticipated outcome. This openness invites surprise and discovery, both in the process and in what ultimately emerges.

Since 2025, through my education as an art therapist, I have become more consciously aware of this intuitive approach. I work with principles of intuitive painting, using practices such as questioning in order to release control, meaning, and intention, as described by Michele Cassou. Or I bring in a new sheet of paper whenever the process calls for it (as Thomas Lüchinger suggests). Rather than directing the painting, I follow where it leads.

Through this ongoing practice, my expressive vocabulary continues to expand, and my relationship with my paintings has deepened into one of dialogue, presence, and attentiveness.
